The best design is simple design so that customers can get a feel for your spa's treatments and personality. Having one of those cookie-cutter sites that specialize in med spa design can lose the personal touch that you have worked so hard to create inside your med spa.
  1. Clean & Simple - A simple design will give your customers an overview of your services by keeping your homepage simple as a hub. Your site's design may look professional with clean lines like a medical professional or softer with warm, inviting colors. Either way, it should reflect the vibe of your medical spa.

  2. Showcase Your Spa's Unique Personality - Crete a distinct look and feel for your website to stand out from the fierce competition. Use high-quality original photos and videos from your own business as much as possible over stock photos.

  3. Create An Exceptional User Experience (UX) - Invite your website visitors into your spa online. Your online presence should be an extension of their first in-person visit. Your site should be informative yet without using too much industry jargon, and the layout should be logical and attractive, making your user want to dive deeper into your site.

  4. Inform and Connect Your text content should be informative yet personal to start the first steps in creating a relationship with your customer. After all, med spa treatments are personal, and you want visitors to feel comfortable. Having authentic testimonies will also give your potential clients confidence in your business.
     
  5. Visual Content - A picture is worth a thousand words. Introduce yourself through a short video so they feel connected to your spa. Having before and after photos and videos that explain treatments will help to attract visitors and turn them into clients. Also, have your medical professionals give expert tips and a virtual tour of your practice. Showcase a treatment with a video to ease any anxiety and showcase your team and treatments. 

  6. Put Your Best Face Forward - Having a staff page with a simple description of their education and experience will help clients feel comfortable when they meet them for the first time in person. Make it personal by including why they love what they do. Remember, this is a very unique business that you are working with someone's body. 

  7. Choose an Effective Color Scheme - Clients are subconsciously influenced by the colors on your website. The look and feel are critical and should reflect the personality of you and the spa. Colors evoke feelings, and you have to think about the direction your business is taking in the next three to five years. A simple color scheme with a few complementary colors will serve your business best. Remember, the website and all other marketing should match. You are in the beauty business, and your marketing needs to reflect that!

  8. Visitor-to-Client Conversion - How do you want to convert visitors to patients? Your website needs to reflect how you want to funnel them to you. Providing clear call-to-action steps that stand out will guide them to the end goal for both of you. You must decide if you want to chat with them on the phone before setting an appointment, or you may rather they book a consultation or treatment online. You may even want them to pay before they book the appointment. You may want to use a chat box online to provide support so they reserve the right treatment option.

  9. Focus on mobile website Design - About 50% of your clients will be viewing your website on their phone, so you want to be sure the site is responsive and fast-loading. Having interesting transitions and animation is great if it doesn't show the website down. Visitors will move onto another business's website if they have to wait too long for it to load.

  10. Begin with the End in Mind - I want to know what your short and long-term goals are for the business. Are there new treatments that you want to grow over the next few years? Are the competitor's websites that you like, and what elements would you like to incorporate into your site? The website should be interactive, so you are offering something valuable to the visitor, but you also want to collect something from them, like their contact information. 

The website must also drive patients to your site through SEO, digital marketing, and social media tools. Ultimately, you must ask if your digital marketing fits into your overall business and aesthetic goals to be on-brand to bring you the right kind of clients. Your images, colors, text, and videos should be of high quality to reflect the professional atmosphere you want to portray. The website will likely be the first impression most people have of your business.
