Why Do Doctors & Medical Professionals Need A Website?

According to Forbes 81% of patients evaluate reviews before choosing a healthcare provider.

Many times, physicians and healthcare providers rely on insurance networks to help new customers find them. That is still true in some areas of healthcare, but people are becoming more and more self-sufficient when it comes to their health. This means that while a potential patient might hear about you from their insurance network, they will want to do their own research and look at your online reviews before they book an appointment with you. A welcoming website with your bio, photos of you and your staff, and testimonials from past patients can make all the difference between you and your competitors.  According to Deloitte, “In 2018, 53 percent said they were likely to use a tool to look up quality ratings for specific physicians or hospitals. Healthcare businesses with a strong online reputation can also help curb a patient’s anxiety and send the message that they are to be trusted with their care. Forms can be completed online, and the types of conditions the practitioner treats can be listed, as well as the services offered.

Healthcare treatments can be frightening to patients, so outlining what to expect can help patients feel more comfortable. Also, offering videos of your service, like massage or chiropractic, can be helpful. You will want to list the hours for each office and a picture of the friendly staff they will be meeting. Even the phases of care can be outlined to keep clients and patients comfortable. Adding a scheduling page can also be a great help in some medical offices. Perhaps a secure login page would be something you can offer as an added service to your clients and patients. A bio about the practitioner, the education and years of experience will bring new patients to your practice.

Other ancillary medical professions that will benefit from a strong digital presence are those who need special shoes and footwear, physical therapy, or personal trainers and mental health counselors.  They can tell prospective patients what sets them apart from others in the field, perhaps they are known to be a Christian counselor.  Even X-Ray Laboratories and Equipment can benefit from a web presence by showing what services they offer,  a products page, and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page.

View some of our work, like
Dr. Byrne Chiropractic, AOHS, and Prime of Your Life.  You will find some of the above features on these sites, as well as products being sold through an e-commerce website. We have done a site for a manufacturer of dental and medical supplies with products that show he develops with surgical precision. Dental labs and institutional pharmacies have also been customers who enjoyed great benefits from a website.  We also work with Massage therapists, Chiropractors, acupuncturists, veterinarians, and Dentists.
